Welcome to our inaugural LEGAL Professional Development Conference and the celebration of Project LAW’s first five years! We are honored that you have chosen to spend your day with us, bringing the energy, insight, and commitment that have defined our community since CSTEP funding first enabled this program in 2020.

We extend deep appreciation to the speakers, who have dedicated their time to share their expertise with us today, and to the Project LAW students, whose passion for equity and service drive our mission forward.

Your participation through thoughtful questions, lively discussions, and meaningful networking exemplifies the core values of CUNY SLU and the CSTEP mission:

  • Leadership: Demonstrating integrity and vision in the pursuit of justice
  • Engagement: Building connections that uplift communities
  • Growth: Pursuing ongoing development and excellence
  • Advocacy: Amplifying the voices of those who need it most
  • Learning: Embracing collaboration and curiosity as catalysts for change

Throughout today’s presentations and networking sessions, we encourage you to forge new partnerships, challenge assumptions, and seize every opportunity to learn from one another. Together, the relationships and ideas formed here will lay the foundation for the next chapter of Project LAW, empowering a diverse cohort of future professionals to create lasting impact in law or whatever fields they choose.

Thank you for being part of this milestone. We look forward to the conversations and connections that unfold and we can’t wait to see your achievements carried into the years ahead.
