The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires colleges and universities to publish an annual security report. The report contains information regarding campus security including topics such as: emergency procedures, crime prevention, university law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, Title IX, sexual assault prevention, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus. It also contains crime statistics for the previous three calendar years.

CUNY SLU Identification Card and Term Sticker

All students, faculty, and staff of the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies (SLU) are required to carry a CUNY SLU identification (ID) card. CUNY policy requires members of the college community to show their identification cards when requested to do so by public safety officers or other officials of the college.

All students enrolled at CUNY SLU will be issued an identification card that may be used for entry to the Mina Rees Library at the Graduate Center and various CUNY libraries. Students may be asked to show the card when entering the SLU or other CUNY buildings.

Requirements for Photo ID Card

To obtain a SLU ID card an applicant must first show proof of affiliation with the college by providing one of the following documents:

  • Students: A current paid Bursar’s receipt.
  • Faculty, staff, or other authorized persons must present an Onboarding Form signed by the appropriate dean, Chair or Department Head or from the Office of Human Resources.

In addition, the applicant must show proof of identity by providing any of the below acceptable forms of photo ID cards:

  • U.S. Driver’s License
  • State issued ID
  • U.S. Passport (expired or unexpired)
  • Foreign Passport (unexpired)
  • Alien Registration Card
  • Other School or College ID with photo
  • Employment Authorization with photo (unexpired)
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • U.S. military ID card
  • U.S. Citizen ID Card
  • ID card issued by federal, state, or local government agencies or entities provided it contains a photograph or information such as name, date of birth, sex, height, eye color, and address

Steps to Getting a CUNY SLU ID Card and Term Sticker

  1. Fill Out: ID Card Request form and email it to IDOffice@slu.cuny.edu
  2. Have your picture taken: Contact the 19th floor Operations Team at IDOffice@slu.cuny.edu or call them at (646) 313-8300 to setup an appointment.
  3. Pickup ID Card:
    • STUDENTS & EMPLOYEES – once your card is ready for pick up Operations staff located on the 19th floor will schedule a pickup time with you, or feel free to call them at (646) 313-8300 to schedule a pickup.

Steps to Getting a Term Sticker

NEW ENROLLED STUDENTS, CONTINUING ENROLLED STUDENTS, AND CURRENT EMPLOYEES– pick up your term sticker at the 19th floor Reception Desk. Operations staff will issue a term sticker for the Fall 2025 term as follows:

  • At the start of the term:
    • Monday-Thursday: 9am – 8pm (August 18th – September 18th)
    • Fridays: 9am – 4:50pm (August 22nd– Sept 19th)
  • During the term:
    • Monday-Thursday: 10:30am – 6:30pm
    • Fridays: 9am – 4:50pm
