Matriculated students are provided with an email account both for university and personal use as long as they are affiliated with CUNY. If you were recently matriculated, please allow 2 to 24 hours for your student email to be created.

Access your CUNY email

1. Go to https://outlook.cloud.microsoft/mail/
2. Enter your CUNYLogin username at the Sign in page and click Next
3. Enter your CUNYLogin credentials at the CUNY Login Page
   1. If this is your first time signing in you will be prompted to setup your Microsoft 365 Multi-Factor Authentication. Here is a quick guide on how to setup your Microsoft 365 MFA.
4. Follow the prompts to receive and enter your verification code.
5. You are now signed into your CUNY email account.

After April 13^th 2026 Graduating SLU Students who will soon become Alumni will automatically have their Student Email Account converted to an Alumni Email Account with Email Access only upon graduating. Access to OneDrive will be removed and it is highly recommended that Graduating Students should begin saving any documents and files they wish to keep onto their local devices prior to Graduation. Alumni who wish to keep their Alumni Email Accounts must actively use their account. After 12 months of inactivity, Alumni Email Accounts will automatically be deleted by CUNY CIS.

In addition CUNY requires users to change their CUNY Login passwords every 180 days. Users will receive a reminder email notifying when it is time to change their passwords.

CUNY SLU Students have access to the Microsoft 365 for Education which includes commonly used apps such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, and more. The license remains active until you leave the University, at which point it will be in read-only mode and you will be prompted to purchase a license from Microsoft or stop using Microsoft 365 for Education.

Access Microsoft Office 365

1. Go to https://login.microsoftonline.com
2. Enter your CUNYLogin username at the Sign in page and click Next
3. Enter your CUNYLogin credentials at the CUNY Login Page and click Log in.
4. Click on Apps at the bottom left corner above your name.
5. Click on More App, you can now access your Microsoft 365 Apps.

Remotely access your course software anytime and anywhere on your favorite web browser by logging in with your CUNYfirst account at cuny.apporto.com

The City University of New York is providing Dropbox and Dropbox Paper to all active CUNY students, faculty and administrative staff.  You can use these tools to store and access files from different devices, share files, and collaborate on content.  The Training Resources section will help you get started.

Use of Dropbox will be subject to CUNY Security and Computer Use policies as well as the data privacy, security and confidentiality guidelines established in the Acceptable Use of University Data in the Cloud Policy.
