Mowmita Jabir joins SLU as the Academic Technology Manager. She is a dedicated EdTech enthusiast, leveraging over 15 years of expertise in seamlessly integrating technology and assessment-related tools into the academic realm.
She started her career as a Learning Management Systems (LMS) expert and Instructional Designer for CUNY Hunter College. She advocates for the intrinsic role of technology in modern education, firmly believing that it should be an integral facet of our teaching and student engagement strategies. She understands that educators often grapple with their unique technological challenges, and she stands ready to provide personalized assistance to ensure they can unlock the full potential of technology, thus delivering exceptional learning experiences for both faculty and students.
In essence, Mowmita is an unapologetic EdTech nerd. Her fervor for technology led her to pursue a master’s degree in computer information systems at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College. She is also a proud Hunter College alumna.
Beyond the digital realm, she has an unwavering love for National Parks and road trips. She lives in Queens, New York with her husband, two sons and lots of plants.
