Maureen joined the Murphy Institute four years ago bringing with her a 40-year history of union activism and labor education. She has held elected and leadership positions at local unions and labor organizations including at the Transit Workers Union Local 100, the New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health, UNITE HERE, the Ladies Garment Workers Union, the Hotel, Restaurant and Bartenders Local 6 and the Consortium for Worker Education. She is a proud member of the PSC. She has a B.A. in Political Science from Hunter College and an M.S. in International Affairs from the New School.
