Elizabeth Sergile is SLU’s Director of Academic Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness, through the Office of Planning, Effectiveness, Research and Assessment (OPERA). Liz’s experience in higher education includes teaching, tutoring, academic program management, grants administration, strategic and operational planning and budgeting, and accreditation. In addition to serving as SLU’s Grants Officer and Human Research Protection Protocol Coordinator, she also teaches an undergraduate course at SLU, Statistics for Social Change.  Liz has a varied background in higher education research and administration underpinning her duties that include the supervision of the Office of Academic Affairs’ day-to-day functions, and leading SLU’s effectiveness, assessment, data collection, analysis and reporting unit.

Liz is currently seeking a doctorate in the Urban Education program at CUNY’s Graduate Center. Her research focuses on the complex relationship between higher education and labor.
