Aurola Wedman-Alfaro is a multimedia communicator with experience in social media, photography, video production, and graphic design.
Before joining CUNY, she worked as a Digital Content Video Coordinator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she told stories about the museum’s permanent collection, exhibitions, artists, and civic practice partners. She previously served as the inaugural Director of the Kopenhaver Center for Women in Communication at Stephens College and as a Public Affairs Trainee at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She is the co-founder of Borderless Colors, a photography and design studio that supports small businesses through curated content and marketing campaigns.
Aurola is a Master of International Affairs candidate at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). She holds a B.F.A. in Communication from Stephens College, an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Johnson County Community College, and a UX/UI Certificate from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
