Free College Preparation Program

Are you an adult interested in college but worried your English or Math skills aren’t quite up to par?

Join Worker Education at the CUNY School of Labor & Urban Studies for a FREE College Preparation program with day and evening classes in both Reading/Writing and Elementary Algebra! Free tutoring services, career advisement, and CUNY admission assistance also provided. Read More

Classes begin on September 3rd, 2019, and run through mid-December with the following schedule:

  • Evening Reading/Writing: Mondays & Wednesdays from 6-8 pm
  • Daytime Reading/Writing: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 12:30-2:30
  • Elementary Algebra: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6-8 pm

Participants must be 21 or older with a high school diploma or high school equivalency. This program is offered in collaboration with the Consortium for Worker Education (CWE).

Enhanced Math & English Program

Do you want to improve your math and/or writing skills while earning college credit towards an undergraduate degree?

Our Enhanced Math and English Program is designed for applications who want to earn credits but aren’t quite college ready. This program is open to first-year Queens College students or transfer students with plans to expand to other campuses in Spring 2020. Read More

Our model provides additional instructional support hours designed to boost overall class performance and prepare for advancement in college. Through interactive, hands-on activities and team projects, students will learn the primary objectives of freshman-level courses along with basic-skills instruction.
