The Office of Admissions is responsible for classifying the student’s residency status upon entrance. Thereafter, Registrar will review and update changes to residency. A student is considered a NYS resident if they have maintained domicile in NYS for a period of at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the first day of classes for the semester which the residency determination is made. Residence in a dormitory, hotel, or other temporary housing facility does not qualify for in-state residency

Undergraduate or Graduate Technology Fees Improves computer services in the colleges.
Undergraduate or Graduate Consolidated Fee Covers external processing of financial aid applications, the immunization program, system-wide tuition and fee collections by the Office of the University Controller, and the administration of various tests such as the skills assessment tests.

Graduate Only Maintenance of Matriculation Graduate students that are not registered for any credit-bearing classes recognized by their program must register for maintenance of matriculation status and pay the required fee.
Late Registration $25 Registration after the first official day of classes will incur a $25 fee.
Change of Program $18 Students are required to pay a fee each time they make certain program changes, on or after the first official day of classes (except for students who only drop courses), based upon the official CUNY calendar. The fee(s) charged will cover one or more program changes made at the same time. Examples of changes incurring a fee: Addition of a course or courses; changing from one course to another course; changing from one section of a course to another section of the same course. This fee is not applicable to college-initiated changes.
Returned Check $20 Returned checks, paper or electronic, result in a $20 fee (per occurrence and regardless of reason). The student will no longer be permitted to pay by personal check, physical or electronic. Other accepted methods include money order, teller check, credit card (online) or payment plan (online).

The student is required to settle their entire bill, including the returned check fee, before the official first day of classes. Accounts in a past-due status must be settled immediately to avoid Bursar holds and/or late fees.

Late Payment $15 Students whose payments are not received by the final due date may be charged a $15 fee.
Replacement ID Card $15 To request a new ID Card, the student must obtain the ID Replacement Form. Return the completed form to the Bursar’s Office (in-person or mail). Include the $15 replacement fee (check or money order, made payable to CUNY SLU). A new photo ID will be issued within 1-2 weeks.
