We strive to make paying for college convenient and affordable. CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies offers a variety of options for making your bill payments.

Account Statement
After registering for courses, the CUNYfirst system will generate a bill. To learn how to access your e-bill see E-Bill Reference Guide . Your e-bill includes:

Tuition, fees and other charges
Student payments
Financial aid payments
Anticipated aid (authorized financial aid that is pending disbursement)
Class schedule

Payment Methods

Credit Cards

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. A 2.65%, non-refundable service fee applied to each transaction. Credit/debit cards are not accepted in person. To learn how to make an online payment read Credit Card Payments Guide or watch a video Credit Card Payments How-To Video.

Checks and Money Orders

Use a personal check or money order when you pay by mail or in-person.

All personal checks money orders must be made payable to the School of Labor and Urban Studies and have a current date.
Your EMPL ID should be written legibly in the check memo.
Postdated checks are not accepted.
Once processed, please allow up to 10-business days for the payment to clear your checking account.
If a check is returned, you will be charged a $20.00 returned check fee and blocked from using checks in the future.

Electronic Check

Electronic checks are accepted with no service fee or additional cost to the student and perform the same function as a conventional paper check, read our Electronic Check Guide or watch Electronic Check How-To Video

Once processed, please allow up to 10-business days for the payment to clear your checking account.
If an eCheck is returned, you will be charged a $20.00 returned check fee and blocked from using checks in the future.

Wire Transfer

SLU accepts both domestic and international wire transfers. Contact bursar@slu.cuny.edu to obtain a Wire Sheet that you can provide to your bank.
